Recent Experience
- Currently a key developer and project architect to facilitate the improvement of internal cloud economic toolsets and collateral related to sales strategies, TCO/ROI based value selling and marketing, and closing deals.
- Currently developing a web apps built on a kubernetes cluster with OAuth, Angular and Clarity UI using a combination of Java/Groovy and Node/Express microservices to manage a distributed MySQL backend, the output of which is used for customer sales conversations. The applications are managed and validated with a CI/CD pipeline in GitLab and Jenkins/GitHub Actions.
- Previously part of a small team of six that developed and operated a worldwide strategic sales platform (Data Integrated Customer Engagement / DICE) which targeted customers looking to transform their infrastructure with software-defined data centers, Cloud Foundation, and NSX related products by identifying the areas of opportunity within their own environment. During its peak activity, DICE provided a measured 28% increase in field sales closure ratios where it was utilized, accelerating sales completion efficiency for over $1B in sales.
- The application for DICE integrated with SalesForce, Active Directory, bookings reports, D&B, and other internal sizing and collection APIs using microservices on a Node.js/Express server in the IBM Cloud. The backend was built with PostgreSQL and Redis, and used JWT to manage authentication. The front-end was built with Angular using Clarity UI as the main component framework, additionally using AG-Grid, Kendo UI, D3, Charts.js, Highcharts, LaTeX and custom canvas elements for Data Visualization.
- Led UX strategy during the redesign of legacy reporting systems. Redeveloped the existing back-office administration and maintenance applications into SPAs. Revised CI/CD deployment and build strategies to increase developer efficiency.
- Participated in on-site hardware Factory Acceptance Testing. Traveled to customer sites as part of the product team to gather/review requirements and provide analytical support as a subject matter expert which resulted in over five unique product deployments.
- There were 3 distinct the applications the front-end team supported at Kaspch. The BackOffice, ROMS, and VIP. Originally the front-end of these applications were written in ActionScript and FlashBuilder. One of our main goals we completed was to convert them to modern (at the time) web technologies. We moved the backoffice jQuery Modules and eventually Angular 2. The ROMS and VIP apps were built into AngularJS SPAs with Kendo UI as the main component framework. The backend used python, Node.js/Express and Oracle DB.
- ROMs featured an editor-like replay suite letting the user scroll through transaction information laid out on a timeline frame by frame or data-point by data-point.
- Taught a lab for Fall 2013’s Principles of Interaction Design, a required and foundational course for graduate students that introduces HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Additionally tutored students privately.
- Redesigned and rebuilt Georgia Tech’s Liberal Arts college web portal UI using HTML, CSS, vanilla JavaScript and continued to support the existing interface to a Droopal CMS. This was to match the look and feel of the other Georgia Tech colleges before the web portal was eventually handed off to the main webmaster.
- Worked with a team of other Graduate Assistants in the department of Digital Media. Created custom web solutions where needed for department organizations. Designed graphic material for the department. Shot, produced and edited material for student and teacher research for the Digital Media Showcases that occur at the end of every semester.
- Developed initiatives for UX & usability testing.
- Front-end web development & bug fixing using HTML, CSS, and Ruby on Rails.
- Built and updated online eBrochures and eProposals for the international hospitality industry (Hilton Hotels & Resorts, IHC, etc.). These marketing brochures were used for closing sales related to the use of the property like block hotel room rentals or reserving event spaces. They featured high-fidelity photograhps and flash movies of the amenities. The Production Specialist team deployed hundreds of these products onto the internet.
- Updated flash multimedia tours, flash tours and images using Adobe Flash and Photoshop. Adjusted HTML, CSS and Copy text for each deployment and worked with a QA team to ensure quality of delivery.
- Offline show editing for several seasons of various shows syndicated online and on PBS.
- Created multiple web-based management systems for internal administrative operations. These systems helped automate part of their billing process in addition to their accounting software as well as track studio usage and equipment location.
- Duplicated & encoded broadcast television shows. Provided device maintenance and technical support.
- Started as an intern in high school transcribing interviews and running the teleprompter for production on-camera shoots. After college, hired on as a full-time employee to continue as a Media Technician - ultimately culminating in editor responsibilities.
- Developed many business websites that ranged in complexity depending on the client. Deployments such as simple hand-crafted HTML landing pages, blogs built on PHP and MySQL, complex custom code deployed alongside SquareSpace, and back-office inventory management systems built with Salesforce.
- Helped produce, edit, shoot corporate videos for local businesses.
